It is with heavy heart that we received the news that Ryan Finch's father, Mr. Dan Finch, has passed away. Details are not yet available regarding arrangements or how to express condolences to the Finch family, and news will be shared when it's available.
Boy Scouts are needed later today (Sunday, Sept. 21) from noon until 7:00pm at the Fiesta del Pueblo 2014 at City Plaza on Fayetteville Street. The Occoneechee Council of BSA is sponsoring the Festival with a table to promote Scouting. Selling on Your Own: You can sell directly to your family, friends and neighbors starting next Saturday through Oct. 25. Sales sheets will be handed out at this week's Tuesday meeting, and if you want, you can use this flyer filed away on the website at http://www.troop364.org/system/files/PopcornFlyer2014.pptx. Customize it with your parent's contact information and post it where you have permission at your church or school. Check with Mr. Ralph Sanders about getting popcorn in advance for selling door-to-door (afterward you hand in the money you collected), or use the sales sheets to sell door-to-door and collect money (then deliver popcorn afterwad).

Scouts are being asked to participate in the semi-annual Church Cleanup. It is one of the ways our Troop shows its support of the PGUMC community and gratitude for sponsoring our Boy Scout Troop. The date was chosen so it came after Veteran's Day and before Thanksgiving. It's also the likeliest time to have all the leaves off the trees.
