We need an adult to coordinate Service Hours Opportunities for the scouts. This would be a great way to help your troop!
The SHO Coordinator will:
- Add announcements to the web site when opportunities are available in the area for the scouts to earn Service Hours. Then take RSVPs from the troop and convey them to service-project coordinators.
- Coordinate the troop's participation in our Spring and Fall church cleanup events and keep a record of scouts who attend and help.
- Provide the Advancement Chair with records of scouts' service hours.
If you're interested in helping the troop in this way, contact Committe Chair John Balla at committee364@gmail.com.
Help is needed with Lowe's Popcorn Sales, Coordinating Service Opportunities, Christmas Tree Sales and Coordinating the Webelos Invitational Campout. Please check with John Balla with any questions. Thanks!

Activities include: • Kids activities; Bounce house, face painting, hats and coloring books, and often Woolly Bull visits. • Numerous local emergency response experts attend and do demonstrations, talk with the families about what they do, and show off their equipment and cool toys (that’s the cool part). They invite local EMS , Duke Life Flight, local and state police, other area Fire Departments and REDS, to name a few. IdentiKid often participates and the DHFD team can provide car seat checks. • Hot Dogs and Sodas/waters, are offered free of charge. Our community enjoys this annual event that offers a fun environment for families to gather and learn about the services that will support them in an emergency, and for the kids learn whtat they should do in an emergency.
