Popcorn sales 2015 have ended. Please bring your sales sheets and your money envelopes to the Scout meeting this Tuesday. Mr. Lindsay and Mr. Balla, along with <insert name here> and <insert name here> will be on hand after announcements to collect order forms and payment envelopes. Here is how you can help before the meeting: 1. Check your numbers on the sales sheet and compare that to the amount you collected. 2. Make a copy of your order sheet (or take a picture with your phone) so you have your own record. 3. If you have coins and small bills, help our treasurer (and this process) by consolidating cash into the largest bills possible. ** IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND THIS TUESDAY's MEETING: Contact Mr. Lindsay to find out how you will get your paperwork and money to him this coming week. Late orders will not be counted toward prize eligibility.
Scouts who sell at least $2,500 (online, face-to-face or combination) in any calendar year receive 6% of their total sales invested in their own college scholarship account. For more information, click here:College Scholarships Funded by Trail's End
It is that time of year again for our annual Popcorn fundraiser! As you may know, this is our biggest fundraiser of the year and is an excellent opportunity for the scouts to raise money for their scouting activities. All scouts are highly encouraged to participate!
This year we are again very fortunate that Lowe’s Home Improvement is allowing us to conduct our Show-N-Sell at their store located at 4831 Grove Barton Rd in Raleigh. We will be selling popcorn in front of the store every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6:00 to 9:00pm starting Monday September 21 and ending on Friday October 23. Each night at Lowe's we will need 2 boys and an adult at the entrance and 2 boys and an adult at the exit. Remember that Lowe’s has extended this privilege to us again this year based on their generosity and our past good behavior. I know that everyone will do an awesome job this year of not only selling but also of maintaining that great track record. Happy selling!
You can sign up for Show-N-Sell via Sign-Up Genius, here:
There will be a Merit Badge University day Highland United Methodist Church on Febraruy 27th. More information will follow as soon as it is available, but this will be an opportunity to earn Citizenship, Communications, First Aid, Personal Management and Personal Fitness badges, to name just a few.
All scouts and adults are invited to the installation of Alex Balla's Eagle Project benches. It will take place at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 10th at Endeavor Charter School in Wake forest (4879 One World Way Wake Forest, NC) (off Capital Boulevard at Burlington Mills Road). We will be digging holes and working with cement, so workers will need to bring gloves, holediggers, shovels, and wheelbarrows. Service hours will be counted and credited. We will have water bottles and pizza at lunchtime. Please RSVP to Alex Balla at 919-706-8743 via text or email to alexanderballa1@gmail.com. Thanks in advance for your help.
