We need a parent volunteer to act as our Troop Coordinator for the Friends of Scouting campaign for this important initiative that benefits the Occoneechee Council. Here is how this initiative is described:
All Scouts and parents are welcome to attend this meeting on Saturday, Jan. 9 from 9:00 AM to Noon. All adults with specific Committee responsibilities, as well as Scouts in leadership positions should plan to attend this meeting. Bagels, coffee and juice will be served.
Our regular Tuesday night meetings have ended for 2015, and the next meeting isTuesday, January 6 at 7:00pm, following the Patrol Leadership Committee meeting at 6:30. See you in the new year!
ACTION NEEDED Any Scout or Adult that plans to be active in Troop 364 in 2016 that has not yet rechartered should send their completed registration formand payment to:
Friday and Saturday nine scouts and two leaders traveled to Fayettville to the Triangle Climing Club. Scouts had the opportunity to climb, have breakfast with Santa, watch a parade and explore the military muesum at Ft. Bragg. They returned to PGUMC Saturday afternoon appropriately tired and accomplished from climbing.
At the last meeting 7 scouts were registered and transportation was planned according to those registered to attned. However, nine scouts showed up and a parent was called into action to provide transportation to the event. It is extrememly important when events are planned that registration is completed prior to the event so that travel and supervision can be arranged. Let's do a better job in registering for future events, especially the upcoming Winter Camp.
