We need an adult to oversee a one-time project to take inventory of the Troop's equipment. Take the approach that works best for you and your schedule, and request assistance as needed from the Scouts in the troop. This inventory will enable us to identify repair & replacement needs, and facilitate financial planning. Please email John Balla if you can help in this limited-scope but important role.
This Tuesday immediately after announcements is our monthly Parents Committee Meeting. Everyone is welcome to attend. Our high level agenda is as follows: ** Training Needs & Opportunities - Paul Young ** Advancement Update - Kristen Brannock. Includes progress summaries for each Scout. ** Treasurer's Update - Lauren Brockman. Includes fundraising credit availability for each Scout.
Come find out how much your son's Popcorn- and Christmas Tree Fundraising credits can be used to defray camping costs (including Summer Camp and High Adventure). Remember: there are decisions made during Committee meetings that impact how our Troop functions, and all decisions are made by simple majority of all those present and voting. Notes from past meetings during 2014 and 2015 can be found here: Files/Administrative&MeetingNotes. Thanks to all the active Committee members for helping to keep our Troop running smoothly!
The Church has reached out with a request for help with cleaning the gutters on their education building. There's some urgency to their request and they'd like to have it done soon, so please respond to John Balla (committee@troop364.org) via email or in-person at the Tuesday night meeting if you are available and interested. As a reminder, this coming weekend is the February Campout to the Tank Museum and the following weekend is Merit Badge University on Saturday.
Sign up online at February Campout - Tank Museum (Danville) and print out the permission slip handed out at last week's COH. Lose the slip? Now worried - it's filed in the Campout Files Folder. This campout to the Tank Museum in Danville promises to be way cool - don't miss out! The deadline for signups is Tuesday Feb 3!
A summary of fundraising activity by scout for the past year (updated for popcorn and Christmas tree sales) will be available at the Parents Committee Meeting on Feb. 10. Lauren will be at the meeting with additional details to answer any questions that might come up.
Please plan to attend the Eagle Court of Honor for Justin Irene, Tuesday, January 27 at 7:00 pm. The Troop will meet in the fellowship hall for a brief Troop meeting and then we will begin the Court of Honor.
Please register online so the family can have refreshments for everyone. Setup for the event is at 6:30, please come and help if you can.
